Maximizing success as a small business government contractor often involves creating solid teaming partnerships whether under a prime-sub teaming agreement or a joint venture.  This webinar will provide essential guidance for small business government contractors on navigating the sometimes-complex legal landscape of teaming agreements and joint ventures in federal contracting. Participants will learn the fundamental differences between various partnership structures, including mentor-protégé relationships, subcontracting arrangements, and joint ventures, with particular emphasis on small business set-aside requirements and compliance obligations. The session will cover:

• Key terms of teaming agreements including terms addressing subcontract awards, exclusivity, termination, disputes and choice of law, and workshare allocation.
• Teaming agreement enforceability considerations.
• Teaming agreements vs. joint ventures: pros and cons of each approach.
• Joint ventures generally and use under SBA set-aside programs.
• Structuring joint ventures compliant with SBA program requirements including key required terms and use of joint ventures under the SBA’s All-Small Mentor Protégé Program.
