| In the spring of 2007, the TASC/TGIC/ODU
15th annual Symposium will be held. This now familiar annual
event for the government service contracting community in
and around Hampton Roads encompasses specific aspects of
the support role played by Hampton Roads government and industry
in preparing our nation’s warfighters.
This year’s theme “Preparing the Warfighter - Projecting
Knowledge as Combat Power,” focuses on the effects
that the changing world situation has had on readiness within
their respective organizations. Subjects that will be addressed
include: Knowledge Management Acquisition, Knowledge Management
Training, Knowledge Management Logistics, and Knowledge Management
Force Protection. High-level representatives from Space and
Warfare Systems Command, the Assistant Secretary of the Navy
for Research, Development and Acquisition, the United States
Joint Forces Command, the Naval Network Warfare Command, the
U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command and others will be
on hand to lead discussions and offered their perspectives
on a variety of Knowledge Management related topics.
This one-day event will be fully interactive, with sessions
cascading down from an opening keynote address through panel
discussion into a number of “Crackerbarrel” sessions
in which attendees will have “one-on-one” discussions
with representatives of the organizations mentioned above.
Topics include such things as TBD.
This event will allow industry and government personnel to
get the latest information on Knowledge Management transformation
and its effects on the Hampton Roads area commands.
